DigiChek is an Australian-owned technology company founded to fill the single biggest gap in modern payment and identity security: the payment gateway itself.
DigiChek was founded on the Gold Coast, Queensland, by a team with deep expertise across financial services, IT product development, systems architecture, law, and corporate management. We built DigiChek because we saw a gap that nobody was filling.
On one side of the payment process, merchants have sophisticated behavioural analysis and fraud risk tools. On the other, banks and issuers have transaction monitoring and identity checks. In the middle, the payment gateway itself, there was nothing. Transactions passed through unfiltered.
We built the filter for the net.
DigiChek is a digital key-based credentialling system. Users verify their identity once, create a DigiChek Key, and use it everywhere. The key confirms identity and real-time consent at any point of authentication: a payment gateway, a login screen, an age gate.
We don’t store documents. We don’t collect biometrics. We confirm a match, and that’s it. For our customers, that means enterprise-grade fraud prevention with a minimal data footprint and no infrastructure overhaul.
DigiChek was assessed in Australia’s national Age Assurance Technology Trial and awarded Technology Readiness Level 9, the highest classification, confirming that our technology is proven and operational in commercial environments. We were validated across all categories: functionality, privacy, security, and acceptability.
We are fully compliant with ISO/IEC 27566-1:2025, EU GDPR, Australia’s 13 Privacy Principles
(APPs), and the EDPB Statement 1/2025 on Age Assurance.
